Cilem prace je analyzovat upravu pracovni doby, a to jak na celostatni urovni (v ramci zakoniku prace), tak na urovni lokalni (ve vybranem podniku) se zamerenim na posouzeni efektivity teto upravy, zejmena ve vztahu k modernim trendum pracovniho prava (liberalizace, flexikutura).
