ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: Anemia is one of global public health problems because of its impact on women and their babies. Pregnant women are one of high risk age groups that suffer anemia. Biopsikosocial factors affect the anemia incidence of pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyse factors that correlate with the anemia incidence in pregnant women. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: This study used multiple methodology with sequential explanatory strategy. Sampling technique for quantitative study used the consecutive sampling and the criterion sampling for qualitative study. Of 120 women who got pregnant in the second and third trimester became research subjects of quantitative study and 7 women were informants of qualitative study.
