PROFITABILITY ANALYSIS OF LAYING HENS OF FARMER LIVESTOCK BUSINESS IN SENTOLO SUBDISTRICT KULON PROGO Muhamad Abdul Rohman1 Sutrisno Hadi Purnomo S.Pt., M.Si., Ph.D.2 Ratih Dewanti S.Pt., M.Sc.3 ABSTRACT Goal of the research let to know profitability level of laying hens business in Sentolo Subdistrict, Kulon Progo. The research was done in March 28th to April 24th 2016. The research method is quantitative descriptive with survey technique. Research location was fixed with purposive sampling with 30 respondent laying hens owner in Sentolo Subdistrict. This method sampling data was done to farmer, each respondent have 1000 hens and minimum have experience 2 years in laying hens business. The research had been taking three vilages is Srikayangan, Demangrejo, and Sukoreno. Data analysis was using profitability analysis in feasibility analysis ratio (R/C), Return on Investment analysis (ROI), Payback Period of Credit analysis (PPC), Break Event Point analysis (BEP). Correlation analysis between business scale with income laying hens business for 1 year was using SPSS 16.0 software. Result research was gained that the laying hens business in Sentolo Subdistrict to suitable for business because point of R/C = 1.30; skill for financial return in the amount 83%; financial investment will return for 1.19 years; farmer will gain profits if egg sell point has more Rp. 619,151,229.8/year and egg production point has more 41.224 ton/years.
