Hubungan Kadar Monoksida dalam Darah (COHb) dengan Kelelahan pada Pedagang Kuliner di Depan Pusat Grosir Solo

Diploma 4 Occupational Safety and Health, Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. Background : Carbon monoxide (CO) is a toxic gas that comes from motor vehicle fumes. Carbon monoxide gas which is inhaled binds to the hemoglobin and form into carboxy hemoglobin (COHb) so that the body is lack of oxygen and causing fatigue. This research aims to determine the correlation of carbon monoxide levels in the blood (COHb)with fatigue of the culinary seller in front of Pusat Grosir Solo. Methods : This research is used an observational study with cross sectional analytic and simple random sampling technique. The sample of this research are 38 respondents from 70population culinary seller in front of Pusat Grosir Solo. Data collection is done by measuring the COHb levels used a spectrophotometer and measuring the fatigue used a reaction timer. Data in this research are processed and analyzed by used Pearson correlation statistical test through computer program SPSS version 18.0. Results : Pearson correlation statistical test COHb levels with fatigue shows that there is a significant correlation with p value = 0.009), r = 0.056 with the value of the correlation positif (+) and the strength of the medium correlation between both of them variables. Conclusion : There is significant correlation between Carbon Monoxide levels in the Blood (COHb) with fatigue of the Culinary Sellers in Front of Pusat Grosir Solo.
