THE EFFECT OF SILVER BLACK PLASTIC MULGE ADMINISTRATION AND NON-SILVER BLACK PLASTIC MULGE ADMINISTRATION ON MONZA F1 VARIETY OF CUCUMBER (CUCUMIS SATIVUS L) PLANT GROWTH. Si 2 dan Dr. Suminah, M.Si 3 ABSTRACT This research aimed to understand the plant cultivation process from land cultivation to business analysis on cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) plant and to find out the effect of Silver Black Plastic Mulge Administration and non-Silver Black Plastic Mulge Administration on Monza F1 variety of cucumber plant growth in Tanjung Village Rt 03 rw 09, Polokarto Sub District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java Province. Cucumber cultivation started with pre-harvest stage: land preparation and cultivation. The next stage was planting stage continued with treatment. The treatment staged included: watering, weeding, heaping, cutting, follow-up fertilizing, and pest and disease control. The final stage included harvest, post-harvest and marketing. This study employed two treatments: mulge and without mulge. The variables observed in this research were plant age when the first flower grows, plant height when the first flower grows, plant height during the last harvest, fruit weight per plant, and fruit length. The use of treatment with mulge viewed from business analysis was better than that without mulge. Keywords: cucumber cultivation, mulge, plant productivity, business analysis Notes: 1.
