Sustained endoplasmic reticular stress (ERS) is implicated in aggressive metastasis ofcancer cells and increased tumor cell proliferation. Cancer cells activate the unfolded proteinresponse (UPR), which aids in cellular survival and adaptation to harsh conditions.
