Most of the impact studies related to mid-day meal scheme have been primary survey based and restricted to particularly locality/region/school but unable to give whole state or India level picture of beneficiaries. In this context the present paper examines the performance of mid-day meal/noon meal scheme in India with respect to its coverage using a national level sample survey
