The paper analyzes the situation of especially vulnerable groups both in EU and in the Serbian labour market. They include Roma as particularly vulnerable ethnic minority, refugees and displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohija (IDPs) and people with disabilities. The results of the analysis indicate that the position of these groups is particularly disadvantaged since their unemployment rate in Serbia is significantly higher than among the general population. It turned out that the high unemployment and low employment activity rates are the main causes of extreme poverty among the Roma and Romani women which are particularly affected by the problem of unemployment.
