Urban farming includes growing of crops and animal keeping. Due to the fast urbanization, farming in cities is practiced in many parts of the world and provides food and income for around 700 million people. This study was conducted in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Uganda has a population of 27.8 million people with 82.6% of the population living below the poverty line. Kampala has 1.2 million inhabitants, with a high population density, 7, 378 persons per km2 of land. Urban agriculture is widespread in the city.
