Introduction: Overweight and obesity is one of the most common health problems and a risk factor for many diseases. In addition to increase the rate of obesity in the population, the proportion of obese women is also enhanced compared to obese men. This study was conducted with the aim of to explore the lived experiences of obese women. Methods: Ahermeneutic phenomenological approach was usedin this study. Fourteen women with the body mass index of over 34 were interviewedby semi-structural method.
