Lipid nanocapsules (LNCs) are extensively used as drug carrier systems, due to their small size distribution, biocompatibility and ease of preparation. They are especially useful for lipophilic drugs to overcome physicochemical constraints that limit their efficacy, such as low solubility in aqueous media.
