The measurement system contains visible imaging and infrared thermography. The goal is to develop a hand-held device that is simple in service. Key function is non-contact energetic measurement, for which infrared cameras are used. This thesis is about the scanner and software development for analysing the energetic structure of a scene. First, there will be a brief overview of the theoretical background. The concepts of heat transfer are described such as thermal conduction, convection and radiation. Also, the U-value is introduced as a quantity for energetic evaluation of walls.
