The aim of this thesis is to identify HTF decomposition inducing agents and compare a fresh eutectic mixture of diphenyl ether and biphenyl with three conditioned HTFs from different CSP plants. The samples are thermally aged for 500 h at the three temperatures 410, 420 and 430 °C. Different properties of fresh and conditioned HTF shall be compared including the low to high boiler ratio and the kinetics of the formation of hydrogen, methane and carbon monoxide
