The sound propagation from a wind turbine situated on the top of a hill into the downwind domain is studied by numerical simulations for 13 cases with varying hill geometry and inflow conditions. The influence of the hill on the atmospheric flow and the wake due to the rotor are simulated by precursory large-eddy simulations. In addition to the combined consideration of hill and turbine wake effects, these effects are also separately evaluated.
