Abstract

The main objective of this PhD dissertation is to thoroughly investigate the anti-islanding capabilities of grid-connected inverters under the high penetration of distributed energy sources (DES) in low-voltage grids.Grid-connected distributed energy sources have been intensively developed over the last decade, increasing their share in power systems worldwide. Photovoltaic systems and wind parks are the most important representative of DES in distribution grids. As those systems continue to increase, electrical power grid undergoes a series of vast changes.
