In the last century, the development of quantum mechanics combined with the rapid evolution ofcomputers helped the development of theoretical methods that contribute, along with theexperimental procedures, in better understanding of the material properties. In the present Ph. Dthesis we propose a methodology for calculation of singly and doubly excited states, which givessatisfactory results for the excitation energies and, it, also, computationally inexpensive.
