Introduction: Preeclampsia is a serious obstetric problem and is characterized by significant rates of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality and its cause remains virtually unknown despite the several theories that have been put forward.Objective of the study: The investigation of 6 placental tissue markers and the comparison of their expression in placentas between preeclamptic women and women who did not develop preeclampsia.
