Introduction: Patient’s rights are derived from the Human Rights. Aim: A) To explore the knowledge and experiences of ICU nurses with regard to the realization of patients’ rights in critical care. B) To develop a questionnaire/scale for the assessment of the knowledge and attitudes of ICU nurses. Method: A mixed method (focus group and survey) descriptive design, along with a methodological design for development of a questionnaire/scale were conducted. Results: The analysis resulted in a 36 item scale for the assessment of ICU nurses’ experiences and attitudes towards patient’s rights in ICU.
