The aim of this study was to evaluate the incidence of PARVO B19 infection in association with fetal loss in the first and second trimester of pregnancy. Material of the study were 206 pregnant women. The serological profile was examined (IgG and IgM antibodies). Also, placental tissues were examined by histological method (simple microscopy and electron). Immune against B19 were 53,3% of women and recent infection was observed in 6,3%. None of the controls (34%) had a positive serological test, while the incidence of recent B19 infection in women with 1st (34,5%) and 2nd fetal loss (31,5%) was 3,68% and 5,8%, respectively.
