Introduction Inverted pappiloma (IP) is a benign epithelial tumour of the nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses. Despite being a benign tumour, it presents a locally aggressive growth, a high rate of recurrences and can undergo malignant transformation. The male to female ratio of occurrence is 3/1 and it’s most common in patients at their 6th-7th decade of life. Usually, it derives from the lateral nasal wall and the most common presenting complaints are unilateral nasal obstruction, nasal discharge and epistaxis. The exact aetiology is not yet known, however, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) has been implicated in the pathogenesis of IP.
