Evaluation of the contribution of water potential in the regional development using quantative methods (the case of Western Thessaly)

In the present thesis becomes an effort to evaluate the contribution of water potential in the regional development using quantative methods. As region of research, was selected the Western Thessaly, which includes the prefectures of Karditsa and Trikala. Western Thessaly is distinguished for its rural character as well as for the progress that is observed in the tertiary sector of economy. Individual objectives of particular research are the calculation of long – lasting tendency of rainfalls, the built of input – output tables for the area under review, the calculation of water potential, real and potential evaporation, as well as the submission of proposals for the obliteration of regional inequalities, the rise of biotic level, the rational use of water resources as well as the exploitation of water resources that remains unexploited.Στην παρούσα διατριβή γίνεται μια προσπάθεια να εκτιμηθεί η συμβολή του υδατικού δυναμικού στην περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη Ως περιοχή έρευνας επιλέχθηκε η Δυτική Θεσσαλία η οποία περιλαμβάνει τους νομούς Καρδίτσας και Τρικάλων. Η περιοχή έρευνας διακρίνεται για τον αγροτικό της χαρακτήρα καθώς και για την πρόοδο που παρατηρείται στον τριτογενή τομέα της οικονομίας. Επιμέρους στόχοι της συγκεκριμένης έρευνας είναι ο υπολογισμός της μακροχρόνιας τάσης των βροχοπτώσεων, η κατασκευή υποδειγμάτων εισροών – εκροών για την υπό εξέταση περιοχή, ο υπολογισμός του υδατικού δυναμικού, της πραγματικής και δυνητικής εξατμισιδιαπνοής καθώς και η υποβολή προτάσεων για την εξάλειψη των περιφερειακών ανισοτήτων, την άνοδο του βιοτικού επιπέδου, την ορθολογική χρήση των υδατικών πόρων καθώς και την αξιοποίηση των πόρων που παραμένουν ανεκμετάλλευτοι
