Background and purpose: This study determined the effect of JZL184, a selective inhibitor of monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL), the enzyme which preferentially catabolises the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG), on inflammatory cytokines in the brain and plasma following an acute immune challenge.
