Lolitas, not living dolls

Lolita fashion is a subculture starting in Japan during 1990s. It is based on Victorian and Edwardian children’s clothing with a Rococo influence. Although Lolita fashion appears to be extremely delicate and feminine, many Lolita fans do not like to be simply described as “living dolls”.
