This paper was in reference to a crop of alfalfa in 1947 that was sprayed with DDT, the pesticide, in North Dakota. The crop became infested with lygus bugs. The author goes on to explain findings regarding the most opportune time of pesticides on crops to reduce loss of bees and other beneficial insects
