Previous work on the equilibrium between Iron containing oxygen and molten ferrous slags has been largely concerned with pure FeO-MnO slags and silica saturated slags. Even in these limited fields complete agreement on the equilibria has not been attained. The present work was carried out to obtain further information on the above equilibria and to extend investigations to slags net saturated with silica.
