The focus of this article is to reflect on how exactly the way of informing a patient about a certain diagnosis (cancer) influences his attitude towards the illness itself, therapy and also towards other doctors consulting the cancer patient during his treatment (psychological aspects of doctor-patient communication, communication techniques used in the relation, a holistic approach regarding the patient and his family).
