The thesis describes the process of study and selection of the materials, variables of the process in the electrical resistance spot welding, monitoring system and the description of the mechanical test made for measure the mechanical quality of the unions. We want to describe and take control of all the variables of the process to be able to make correlations between the values of the different test (cross tension test and lap shear), which determinate the quality of the union, and the values with we weld. For knowing how is welding the machine, we need to study how can the machine fix the parameters.
