Over 13 500 Cicer arietinum germplasm accessions from 40 countries were evaluated for resistance to race 1 of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri at Patancheru. Some 160 accessions were found to be resistant through field and pot screenings. Many of these resistant accessions originated from India and Iran.
