Evaluation for resistance to A. rabiei was carried out on 6594 kabuli and 12 749 desi accessions which were inoculated with diseased debris and spore suspension in the field; resistant accessions were grown in pots and further inoculated for evaluation of resistance in greenhouse conditions under increased relative humidity. Of the kabuli accessions, 17 were resistant in the field and the following 6 were also resistant in the greenhouse: ILC72, ILC5586, ILC5894, ILC5926, ILC6482 and ILC7795. Of the desi accessions, 7 were resistant in the field and 3 were also resistant in the greenhouse: ICC4475, ICC6328 and ICC12004
