Released as Kalika in Nepal in 1990, ICCV82108 was developed at Patancheru by pedigree selection from a cross between segregating F2 plants from the crosses JG62 × WR315 and P1363 × PRR1. It is high yielding, giving average yields of 1.36 t/ha in multilocation trials in Nepal during 1986-90, 11% higher than the control Dhanush. It is double-podded and resistant to race 1 of Fusarium oxysporum. It is superior to Dhanush in resistance to other diseases and pests. Seeds are dark brown with a 100-seed weight of 19 g. Plants mature in 152 days
