Arachis hypogaea cv. ICGV86564, derived from the cross Ah114 × NC Ac1107, is a dual-purpose line suitable for consumption as seed and for oil. Its 100-seed weight is 90 g and its oil content is 51%. In trials during the rainy and post-rainy seasons at Patancheru in 1988-90, it outyielded the commercial confectionery variety Chandra by 7%, producing 3 t pods/ha. It also outyielded local cultivars in trials in Burundi, Nepal, Pakistan and Zambia by 16-76%. It is widely adapted and responds well to a high level of management
