The laser system mentioned in this thesis is used to produce ultrashort laser pulses with high peak power. These are used to observe the dissociation of molecules in a reaction microscope. To effectivly use the pulses to compare the observed results to theory the pulse duration has to be known to a certain extend. Since pulses in the femtosecond regime cannot be measured directly, a simulation technique was used to verify the pulse duration. By taking into account all optical components in the beam path, the expected autocorrelation signal inside the reaction microscope was calculated and then compared to the measured autocorrelation.
