Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) followed by microarray-based (ChIP-Chip) or next-generation sequencing-based (ChIP-Seq) analysis has been established as a powerful and widely used method to investigate DNA-protein interactions relative to a genomic location in vivo.
