At the core of every Holocaust institution, whether it be a museum or an archive is remembrance and memorializing. This mission is often fulfilled through community outreach and education, and is a process that requires the participation of the public. The advent of the Internet has given these institutions a new tool through which to perpetrate memorializing. Through studying the websites of Yad Vashem, The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance, The Fortunoff Video Archive, and The Shoah Foundation, we can see and better understand how the Internet can be used for Holocaust Memorializing.
