A mathematical model describing oxidation/reduction reactions inaa dynamic liquid phase reactor has been applied to the Fenton Reaction for water and waste water treatment. Currently there are very few mathematical models available to describe the Fenton Reaction for waste water treatment, and the development of a mechanisticly based model would greatly aid in the understanding of the factors involved in the Fenton Reaction. The system of chemical equations making up the Fenton Reaction is laid out, and presented in terms of a set of partial differential equations describing the change in concentration of a micropollutant in a flow-through reactor.
