Childhood adversity has recently been heralded as a public health crisis, as long-term physical and mental health consequences are well documented. Meanwhile, child and adult obesity remains a public health priority, calling for interventions at individual and systemic levels. "Resilience" is a construct which describes one's ability to positively adapt to and overcome childhood adversity.
