To complement the articles written by practicing planners that appear in this issue, the editors of Carolina Planning interviewed Wib Gulley, chair of the board of the Triangle Transit Authority, a regional public transportation agency for Durham, Wake, and Orange counties. Prior to assuming thi sposition, he was mayor of Durham from 1985 to 1989. Gulley practices law in Durham and is active in a number of other community organizations. This interview took place in February 1991
