Digital and conventional implant impression accuracy. A systematic review.

Making an accurate impression is one of the most important factors in constructing an implant- supported prostheses. While taking implant impressions it's crucial to recreate the location and position of the implants and the tissues around it as accurately as possible. To achieve this, many techniques, approaches and methods have been suggested in the past, however no conventional implant impression is without flaws. The advent and recent advancement in the digital technologies created an opportunity for dentists to use intraoral scanners as an alternative to the conventional implant impression techniques.
