Peculiarities of local anesthesia in children Summary Objective : to evaluate children behavior differences during local anaesthesia procedure performed with different techniques according to Sounds, Eyes, and Motor (SEM), Wong Baker FACES® Pain Rating Scale, Frankl behavior rating scale, The FLACC Behavioral Scale, Visual Analogue Scale, Facial Image Scale ir Facial pain rating (FPR) scales. Material and methods: this systemic review was made by one researcher in accordance to PRISMA protocol. 783 articales were selected through PubMed and ScienceDirect data basis, which were published in last 10 years (2008 – 2018). 774 articales were rejected after revision due duplicates, paid or partial articles, not English, research made on adults. According to PICOs only 9 articles were left. The sample of patients ranged from 30 to 134. The age of patients was from 3 to 15 years old. Children behavior was investigated while perfoming traditional local aneasthesia and alternative local anaesthesia techniques. 7 different children behavior scales were used in this research: Sounds, Eyes, and Motor (SEM), Wong Baker FACES® Pain Rating Scale, Frankl behavior rating scale, The FLACC Behavioral Scale, Visual Analogue Scale, Facial Image Scale ir Facial pain rating (FPR) scales. Results: Majority of researches revealed that alternative local anaesthesia techniques showed better results than traditional techniques. 1 research showed that there was no significance between techniques. Results of 8 articles were statistically significant, 1 was not statisticaly significant, in 1 article information regarding to p-value was not given. Conclusion: Alternative local anesthesia techniques show better results than tradicional techniques according to children behavior scales. To achieve better result performing local anaesthesia on purpose it is advisable to use alternative local anaesthesia techniques.
