Periodontitis is a bacteria-induced inflammatory disease that leads to periodontal tissue destruction. Many in vitro studies have investigated the compounds regulating Wnt/β-catenin signal pathway that regulates alveolar bone regeneration via osteogenesis of periodontal ligament cells; however, the results have not been systematically reviewed. This review aims to consider the application of medical compounds and their effects on osteogenic differentiation by Wnt/β-catenin signaling activation in human periodontal ligament cells
