International audienceNorthern France is during the Middle and Upper Pleistocene a biogeographic crossroads at the European level where the direct influence ofcyclic climatic and environmental variations is particularly well recorded. Many Palaeolithic and paleontological sites have yielded the remains of large mammals along this region for about a million years until the end of the Upper Pleistocene. Identified large mammals associations give the interest to be well dated and placed in a paleoecological background consistent. This synthesis is the first to be realized for the Middle and Upper Pleistocene in northern France. Twenty eight sites have been examined and sixty eight taxa used. It is thus possible to examine the renewal dynamics ...
