International audienceAgri-food systems re-localisation is considered a mean to foster regional sustainable development. We distinguish two main forms of re-localisation: localised food systems and local food networks. Whosalers and retailers are involved in these dynamics. However, they are neglected in literature as well as in public initiatives. The objective of the paper is twofold. First, a literature review shows the part the distribution intermediaries take in re-localisation of food chains.
