International audienceThe retrospective interview of a trainee teacher is a training device that can reveal what he or she thinks about teaching. The discourse of the interview is linguistically, praxeologically, and/or cognitively reflective, constituted by an external dialogue that refers to another external dialogue—that is, that of the language classroom. The interview questions refer to what has been said and/or done in the classroom, as well as the teacher thinking regarding the students’ reactions.
