Actions, verbalisation et répertoire didactique : leur articulation dans la situation de formation de l’enseignant de FLE

International audienceThe retrospective interview of a trainee teacher is a training device that can reveal what he or she thinks about teaching. The discourse of the interview is linguistically, praxeologically, and/or cognitively reflective, constituted by an external dialogue that refers to another external dialogue—that is, that of the language classroom. The interview questions refer to what has been said and/or done in the classroom, as well as the teacher thinking regarding the students’ reactions. Making good use of this polyphonic complex, the interviewer, who is considered an expert in the field of education, meddles in the interviewee’s teacher thinking, to objectify the interviewee’s verbal and/or nonverbal actions, those of the students, as well as what he or she was thinking while interacting with the students in the classroom. By discussing the verbal and/or nonverbal actions, as well as the trainee’s teacher thinking, the interviewer becomes a catalyst for the development of the teacher’s cognitive repertoire. In other words, the trainee teacher develops his or her professional abilities by discussing the verbal and/or nonverbal actions experienced in the classroom, as well as his or her thinking processes, with the interviewer.L’entretien rétrospectif est l’un des dispositifs permettant d’« incarner » la pensée de l’enseignant. Énonciativement, praxéologiquement et/ou cognitivement polyphonique, le discours de l’entretien rétrospectif construit à partir d’un « dialogue externe » se réfère à un autre « dialogue externe », celui en classe de langue. Il s’oriente non seulement vers un dit et/ou un fait produit(s) dans la classe, mais aussi vers ce que l’enseignant pensait vis-à-vis des (ré)actions des apprenants. Mettant à profit ce méandre de polyphonies, l’« expert » intervient dans la pensée enseignante de son partenaire-protagoniste pour l’amener à objectiver ses actions verbales et/ou non verbales, celles des apprenants ainsi que ce qu’il pensait en interagissant avec ces derniers dans la classe. Articulant de cette façon les actions verbales et/ou non verbales et la verbalisation de la pensée enseignante, l’« expert » joue le rôle de « catalyseur » du développement du répertoire didactique de l’enseignant. Autrement dit, ce dernier se forme au métier dans et par la verbalisation des actions verbales et/ou non verbales, ainsi qu’à partir de ce qu’il pensait et pense à l’égard de ces dernières, cela avec l’aide de l’« expert » qui est le dépositaire idéal des savoirs et savoir-faire enseignants
