AbstractIn a recent paper [1], numerical schemes based on a conservative linearisation arepresented for the Euler equations governing compressible flows of an ideal gas, and the subsequent study of these schemes establishes relationships between them through the use of a source term. In this paper, we seek to extend these ideas to encompass compressible flows of real gases where the equation of state allows for nonideal gases
