BackgroundST2, an interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor family member, is an emerging biomarker promising to assess prognosis in various pathophysiological conditions including heart failure (HF). The aim of this work was to investigate the prognosis interest of this marker in ambulatory patients with stable HF.MethodsPatients were included in this study in 2010. All patients gave informed consent. Clinical characteristics were registered and biomarkers were assessed. Clinical outcomes were registered regularly by a clinical follow-up or by phone by a dedicated physician.
