AbstractNew voltammetric DNA biosensor based on a microcrystalline natural graphite–polystyrene composite film in the role of a transducer was used for the investigation of the interaction between model carcinogenic substance (2-aminofluorene; one of the most extensively studied examples of the aromatic amine class of carcinogens) and calf thymus double-stranded DNA (dsDNA). The layer of dsDNA immobilized at the electrode surface was utilized as a biocomponent responsive interface.
