AbstractPositive psychology is a current approach used for understanding people's psychology, focusing on their positive features. Resilience is one of the central concepts of positive psychology. Resilience, for instance, enables people experiencing a negative situation to battle against it. In this study, resilience was investigated in terms of gender, family type, and perceived maternal and paternal attitudes. Participants of the study were 735 sophomore and junior students attending the Faculty of Education at Kastamonu University during the 2010-2011 academic year.
