AbstractThe path-dependence of the conventional Forming Limit Diagram (FLD) is an important issue for its applications in industry. Great efforts have been made to understand the nature of the path-dependence with both experimental and theoretical approaches, many of them attempting to find a path-independent way for the application of forming limits. In this paper, we focus on the nonlinear strain path effect on forming limit predictions using both isotropic and anisotropic hardening models.
