Abstract

AbstractThe article presents the reduction ad absurdum method of demonstration followed by some representative examples. Reduction ad absurdum method is based on the logic principle of third persons (one of two contradictory sentences is true the other false, and the third possibility doesn’t exist) and it consists of the following reasoning: it is assumed that what you have to show is not true (to deny the conclusion) and by logical deductions we arrive at a contradiction with the assumption or a fact expressed and that is already accepted.
