AbstractThis paper explores the role of intervention programs for men who commit acts of domestic violence against women and children. It discusses policy, organisational, practice, and research issues in the delivery of contracted-out legally mandated perpetrator programs, drawing on the findings of a collaborative research project conducted between an Australian department of corrective services and an independent group of researchers. This paper, based on a series of in-depth interviews with service providers, victims, and other stakeholders, discusses how the way in which services are organised can influence the nature and quality of program delivery
